PITTSFORD, N.Y. – The St. John Fisher men's track and field team opened the 2024-25 season on Friday night at the Nazareth University Alumni Opener at the Golisano Training Center.
Top Results
Pole vault: Sophomore Hayden Penna finished in first place and broke his own school record in the pole vault, recording a 15' 5.75 mark. He first set the record with a 15' 2.25 mark last year in the St. John Fisher Cardinal Classic.
High jump: Senior Sean Cochrane finished in first place in the high jump event, as he posted a 2.02m mark, which ranks among the best results of his career.
Long jump: Freshman Griffin Killian placed fifth in the long jump (6.49m) in his first collegiate meet.
Shot put: Freshman Daniel Davis placed sixth (13.38m), while junior Joey Curr placed seventh (13.09).
Weight throw: Junior Brandon Kaplan recorded an impressive 17.71m mark, good for second place and a personal best in the event.
3000m: Senior Nathaniel Kulp finished second in the 300m race (9:14.71). That time marked one of the best of his collegiate career.
300m: Senior Brady Bishop (36.80), freshman Michael Prentice (36.85) and junior Brock Young (37.20) placed third, fourth and fifth, respectively, in the 300m event. All three set collegiate personal records.
