PITTSFORD, N.Y. – The St. John Fisher University field hockey team has the No. 5 seed for the Empire 8 Field Hockey Championship and will face No. 4-seeded Nazareth (9-7, 6-3 Empire 8) in the opening round at 6 p.m. on Monday at NLPA Field.

The game will be streamed live on the Empire 8 Network, and tickets will be available for purchase on-site. 

The Cardinals finished the regular season 8-10 overall and 6-3 in the Empire 8. They lost 2-0 to Nazareth on the road on Oct. 23. 

Fisher entered that contest having won six games in a row and 10 of its last 11 contests against Nazareth. 

The winner of Monday's game advances to face No. 1 Geneseo in the Empire 8 Semifinals at 4 p.m. on Thursday.
