PHILADELPHIA, Pa. – The St. John Fisher University women's rowing team on Saturday competed in the Head of the Schuylkill regatta, which featured numerous teams from Division I, Division I and Division III. 

The Cardinals novice team placed 19th out of 28 teams and seventh among Division III teams in the field. Their varsity four group placed 67th out of 80 teams and 18th among Division III teams in the field. 

Emma Kane and Sara Costello finished second among Division III teams in the women's collegiate doubles race to earn a silver medal. They finished fourth out of eight total teams in the competition. 

"They had a great race and handled a tough passing situation that ended up with a buoy violation which knocked them out of third overall," head coach Jonathan Covney said.
