HOUGHTON, N.Y. – The St. John Fisher University men's track and field team competed at Houghton's Highlander Invitational on Saturday.
Track
Senior Ethan Billings placed second in the mile run with a time of 4:29.77, while senior Rob Hartigan placed second in the 400m (53.28). The 4x400 team of Luke Defio, Hartigan, Gavin Henderosn, and John Ruggio also secured a second-place time (3:46.69). Other top finishers include Myles Anderson (fourth in the 800m), Nate Kulp (fifth in 5000m), and Riley Nash (fifth in the 3000m).
Field
Senior Sean Cochrane continued his successful season, winning the high jump with a height of 1.92m (6'3.5''). Sophomore Brandon Kaplan won the weight throw with a length of 14.73m (48'4''), one of four Cardinals in the top eight in the event. Freshman Hayden Penna pole vaulted to a height of 4.20m (13'9.25'').
