ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The St. John Fisher University women's cross country team finished ninth at the Yellowjacket Invitational on Saturday.
Senior Lauren Demichele had the top time for the Cardinals, finishing 35th with a 6K mark of 23:42.5. Junior Riley Jameson was the second Fisher runner across the line, crossing in 24:17.2, good for 53rd.
Senior Laura Witt (24:34.2), sophomore Caitlin Voloshen (24:44.9), and senior Brigid McGee (24:46.1) finished 64th, 72nd, and 74th, respectively, to round out the Cardinals' top five. Sophomores Olivia Grinnell (25:01.9, 86th) and Allison List (25:22.0, 111th) were Fisher's sixth and seventh-place finishers.
Division I Cornell won the team competition with 26 points, beating out SUNY Geneseo's 48 points.
The Cardinals next run on Oct. 7 at Dickinson College for the 2023 NCAA Pre-Nationals Invitationals.
