Women's Cross Country Takes 14th In Niagara Regional Race

ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The St. John Fisher women's cross country team placed 14th in the NCAA Division III Niagara Regional on Saturday at Genesee Valley Park. 

New York University claimed first place in the team race, while SUNY Geneseo, Ithaca, SUNY Cortland, and Hamilton made up the rest of the time five. 

Senior Olivia Grinnell led the Cardinals with a 56th-place finish in the 6k race. Her time of 23:47.7 marked the sixth-best time ever recorded by a Fisher women's runner on the Genesee Valley Park course. 

Junior Maggie Bacon finished just a few ticks behind Grinnell in 57th place with a time of 23:8.8, good for seventh place on Fisher's top-20 list for the course. 

Additional Race Highlights

  • Senior Lauren Dunn recorded the 12th-best time (24:18.0) ever by a Fisher runner on the course. 

  • Senior Taylor Hoffman also made it on Fisher's top-20 list for the course with a time of 24:37.2.
