PITTSFORD, N.Y. – The St. John Fisher University women's cross country team opened the 2026 season on Friday night in the eighth annual Fisher-Rodenbeck Invitational. The Cardinals placed 6th out of eight teams. 

Eleni Drosinos paced the Cardinals in her first collegiate race, recording a 4k time 16:18.4 in the 4k race. She placed 20th out of well more than 100 competitors. 

The University at Buffalo placed first as a team, while SUNY Geneseo took second. 

Additional Race Highlights

• Drosinos recorded the 15th-best time by a Cardinal runner on the Rodenbeck 4k course. 

• Junior Abby Nash recorded a career-best time of 17:12.4.

• Senior Maggie Bacon placed 40th with a time of 17:13.4.
