PITTSFORD, NY – The St. John Fisher University Women's Track and Field team stayed home as they competed in day one of the 2023 NCAA Outdoor Championship. The three-day meet is being hosted by St. John Fisher and is taking place at Polisseni T&F Complex.
Shot Put
Competing first for the Cardinals,
Makenna King threw in the shot put. King threw 13.12m, placing 18
th out of 22 throwers.
100m Hurdles
Next on the track,
Ciarra Franz competed in the 100m hurdles. Franz ran 14.74, finishing 19
th out of 22 runners.
400m
Last on the track for the Cardinals,
Samantha Shea competed in the 400m. Setting a new school record, Shea ran 56.40, placing 13
th out of 22 runners.
Up next, the Cardinals continue to host the 2023 NCAA Outdoor Championship. The three-day event will pick back up for the final day on Saturday, May 27 at 10 a.m.
