ROCHESTER, N.Y – The St. John Fisher Women's Track & Field team traveled to Rochester to compete in the RIT February Friday Invitational. The meet took place on Friday and was hosted by RIT.
On the Track
In the 5000m,
Laura Witt ran 19:38.55 to place 2
nd. Her performance moves her to sixth on the Empire 8 leader board.
The 60m saw
Isabelle Rowley run 8.22 to place 3
rd in the qualifying round. In the final, Rowley ran 8.15 to place second overall.
In the mile,
Sophia Prouty ran 5:46.55 to qualify for the E8 championship meet.
In the 400m,
Hayly Fredrickson ran 1:06.48, qualifying her for the E8 championship meet.
The 3000m saw
Taylor Hoffman run 12:12.01, qualifying her for the E8 championship meet.
At the Field
In the high jump,
Claudia Vogel jumped 1.47m, tying for 6
th overall.
At the weight throw,
Anna Steed threw 10.87m, qualifying her for the E8 championship meet.
In the long jump,
Veronica Duell jumped 5.65m to place 2
nd overall. Her jump moves her to second overall on the E8 leader board.
The shot put had
Makenna King throw 11.04m, placing 8
th overall.
Erin McGuinness was right behind, throwing 11.00m, placing 9
th overall.
Next up for the Cardinals is the Boston University Valentine Invite, hosted by Boston University on Friday, Feb 10 and Saturday, Feb 11.
