ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The St. John Fisher University men's and women's track and field teams went down the road to Nazareth University to compete in the Nazareth Alumni Opener on Friday.
Track
In the 60m dash,
Sean Cochrane and
Ethan Fox both finished with a time of 7.42. Tony DiRubbo claimed fifth place in the mile, with a time of 4:33.21.
Trenton Wynn used a time of 8.79 to come in fifth place in the 60m hurdles.
Noah Dueker finished in ninth with a jump of 12.48m.
Ethan Billings took home second place in the 3000m race, doing so with a time of 8:53.34.
Riley Nash also competed in the 3k and finished in fourth place with a mark of 9:08.26.
Field
Wynn continued his success in the triple-jump where he recorded a distance of 13.06m to take home fourth place. Cochrane handled the high jump with ease, clearing the bar at 1.97 in his second attempt, which puts him in the top-10 in NCAA DIII.
David Argentieri finished in third place by making a jump of 1.77m in his first try. First year pole-vaulter,
Hayden Penna, secured a seventh place finish with a height of 4.30m (14'1"), which also sets a new school record in the event.
The Cardinals head into a long break and will not be in action until the new year. They Will head back to Houghton University for the Highlander Invitational on Saturday, January 20 with an anticipated start time of 10 a.m.
