PITTSFORD, N.Y. – The St. John Fisher University women's tennis team have had a strong first half of the season, going 4-1 in their first five games and 1-1 in the Empire 8 Conference. They will hit the road for their next two games against conference opponents starting on Wednesday, Sept 28 at 4 p.m. against Nazareth College. They will then kick-off October with a match at Hartwick on Saturday Oct. 1 at 1 p.m.
Impressing In Singles: So far this year the Cardinals are 20-10 in their 30 singles matches.
Lilly Renzi is leading the way by going 5-0 in her singles matches and has yet to drop a set.
Madison Galvin and
Eliana Kelly have also been strong in their singles matches, with both going 4-1 so far.
All Eyes On The E8: Fisher began their schedule with three straight out of conference games, but the rest of the way will be nothing by Empire 8 teams. It stated with a 6-3 loss at Alfred University and then they were victorious at home against Utica. Their next two road games will be at the Golden Flyers and Hawks before returning home to host Russell Sage College and Houghton College. Their final game of the season will be at Medaille College.
