PITTSFORD, N.Y. – The St. John Fisher University men's soccer team will wrap up their home schedule with two games this week. The first matchup is on Wednesday, Oct. 19 against Houghton University and Saturday, Oct. 22 against Russell Sage College.

Fisher enters the week with a 5-4-2 overall record and 4-1 in Empire 8 games. Houghton has gone 3-9-2 this season with a 1-2-2 record in Empire 8 contests. Meanwhile, tied with Fisher in third second in the conference is Russell Sage, who has gone 7-4-2 overall and 4-1 in conference games.

The Cardinals have won three straight, outscoring opponents 6-1 over that span.

Scouting the Rivals: The last time Fisher took on Houghton, goals from Justin Bonetto and Riley Rease pushed the Cardinals past the Highlanders 2-0. In the win, Jadon Schlierf earned his second shutout of the year, tallying six saves.

After winning four straight against Russell Sage, the Gators blanked the Cardinals last year. After heading into the first half scoreless, a Gators goal in the 70th minute was able to push them past the Cardinals. Jackson Bishop and Bonetto each took three shots in the contest.

Celebrating Seniors: 11 seniors will be recognized prior to the final home game of the season on Saturday. The seniors recognized include: Stephen Guidi, Tim Brown, Pat Banas, Aiden Gaffney, Drew Ksanznak, Ben Woolingham, Ben Conrow, George Ross, Brennan Brown, Parker Hotchkiss, Johnny Kopen and Justin Bonetto.

Player to Watch: Senior forward, Woolingham, is the player to watch this week. Woolingham has heated up over the last two games, scoring the first three goals of the season. Last season, Woolingham tallied four goals in 17 games, 15 of which he started. He finished with 19 shots, eight of which were on goal, and three assists. Looking to repeat the success, Woolingham has found success with three goals, one assist and five shots, three of which were on goal.
