HILTON HEAD, S.C. – The St. John Fisher College women's tennis team ended its spring trip in South Carolina on a high note as the Cardinals defeated Albion College, 5-4, at Chaplin Park. With the win, Fisher improved to 10-6 on the season.
Fisher took a point in doubles action as
Kaili Saffran and
Mikayla Santullix flights in singles action.
Saffran got the Cardinals moving in the right direction with a 6-3, 7-6 triumph at first singles before
Zuzanna Pociecha was a winner at third singles with a 6-2, 6-1 decision. In fourth singles,
Amanda Thongsirimonghoun was a winner with a score of 6-4, 6-3 while
Veronika Jurczuk claimed a 6-0, 6-1 win at sixth singles.
Fisher will continue its spring season at 4 p.m. on April 3rd when it hosts SUNY Geneseo at Mendon Racquet and Pool Club.
