ROCHESTER, N.Y. – The St. John Fisher College women's tennis team was on the wrong end of a 9-0 decision on Saturday morning as the Cardinals opened the 2019 season at Rochester Institute of Technology.  With the defeat, Fisher slid to 0-1 while the Tigers head into season at 1-0.

In singles play, Cassidy Bell had a strong showing in the match's first flight as the junior took the first set before falling in the second.  In the third and deciding set, the Tigers were eventually able to pull out a point after taking the game, 10-8.

Fisher will look to rebound at 4 p.m. on Friday when it hosts The College at Brockport at Mendon Racquet and Pool Club.
