HILTON HEAD, SOUTH CAROLINA – The St. John Fisher College women's tennis team fell to the Yellow Jackets of Baldwin Wallace in Hilton Head, 8-1.
Cassidy Bell and Taylor Slink battled in first doubles, but eventually fell 8-5. Sarah Sorrentino and Amanda Pendergast would drop second doubles with a final of score 8-1, before Amanda Thongsirimonghoun and Grace Peter fell to their opponents, 8-4.
Taylor Slink would be the lone highlight of the day for the Cardinals in second singles, defeating her opponent in straight sets with scores of 6-3 and 6-4.
Caroline Seaberg would wrap up the day for Fisher with a duel in fifth singles, taking her opponent to three sets, eventually falling with scores of 2-6, 7-6 and 13-11.
The Cardinals close out their spring trip at 2:45 on Thursday as the team is set to take on Lynchburg College in Hilton Head.
