Women's Tennis Wins On Senior Day

Playing in its final home match of the season, the St. John Fisher College women's tennis program sent its seniors out with a 6-3 win over Elmira College on Tuesday.

With the win, Fisher improves to 4-2 overall and 3-2 in the Empire 8 Conference.

Fisher's two seniors - Olivia Rotondo and Eileen Fleming - were both instrumental in the victory.  Rotondo won 6-2, 6-1 at third singles, and joined teammate Taylor Slink for an 8-1 win at second doubles, while Fleming also earned two points, coasting to a 6-0, 6-1 win at sixth singles, and winning 8-1 at third doubles with Amanda Pendergast.

Slink also earned a point at third singles, while  Caroline Seaberg sealed the match with a 6-1, 6-0 victory at fifth singles.

Fisher is back in action on Saturday at Hartwick College.
