The St. John Fisher College men's soccer team saw the close to its historic season in a 1-0 loss to SUNY Oneonta on Saturday in the first round of the Division III NCAA tournament.

Fisher held with the No. 1 seeded Red Dragons for 79 scoreless minutes, putting up one of the best defensive efforts of the season. Early in the first half goalkeeper Joe Catalfamo made a diving save on wide-open shot to keep the score at 0-0.

The Red Dragons were limited to just one goal despite out shooting the Cardinals 18-6, and would eventually score with just 10 minutes left in the match.

Matthew Kaiser recorded three shots; Jeff Meyers added two more, and senior Thomas Goetze recorded one.
