The St. John Fisher College women's tennis team dropped a 9-0 decision to Stevens Institute of Technology on the road on Saturday in an Empire 8 matchup.
Fisher found most of its success in singles, nearly earning points in the middle of its lineup. At third singles,
Taylor Slink dropped her first set 6-3 before coming back and winning the second set 6-4. In the 10-point third-set tie breaker, Slink was barely edged 13-11.
Katey Padden at second singles and
Caroline Seaberg at fourth fought valiantly, pushing both of their first sets to extra games but the two eventually dropped them 7-5 before dropping the second set.
Fisher returns to action at 4 p.m. on Thursday when it travels to take on Oswego State in a non-conference matchup.
