The St. John Fisher College men's soccer team was shut out by host Elmira College 1-0 in an Empire 8 Conference matchup on Saturday.
The lone goal of the game came from Elmira in the 38
th minute when a long cross into the box resulted in a loose ball that was taken advantage of by the Soaring Eagles.
The score would remain at 1-0 for the remainder of the game.
Fisher and Elmira rivaled in shots, with the Soaring Eagles outshooting the Cardinals only 11-9.
Freshman goalkeeper
Joseph Catalfamo registered a total of 71 saves in 14 starts in his first season as a Cardinal.
The Cardinals closed out their 2015 season with a record of 3-13 overall, and 2-5 in the Empire 8 Conference.
