Women’s Tennis Falls Short Against Alfred

The St. John Fisher College women's tennis team lost 6-3 in Empire 8 Conference action on Friday to Alfred University at the Mendon Racquet and Pool Club.

The loss drops Fisher to 0-9 on the season and 0-7 in Empire 8 action.

The Cardinals picked up two of their three points on the day in singles action as Katey Padden and Caroline Seaberg each managed to win their matches. Padden won 6-3, 6-2 in third singles while Seaberg won 6-2, 6-4 in fifth singles.

Seaberg and Padden also helped Fisher picked up a point in second doubles as the two teamed up to win 8-1.

The Cardinals return to the courts on at 1 p.m. on Saturday as they travel to Utica to take on Empire 8 opponent Utica College.
