The St. John Fisher College women's tennis team suffered a 9-0 loss at Alfred University on Wednesday.

With the loss, Fisher falls to 1-6 overall and 1-5 in the Empire 8 Conference, while Saxons improve to 5-5, 4-3.

Fisher's best chance at a point came at sixth singles with Amanda Pendergast losing after winning 6-3 in the opening set.

Fisher returns to action at 4 p.m. on Friday and will host SUNY Oneonta.
