The St. John Fisher men's soccer team won a pivotal Empire 8 showdown at East Avenue rival Nazareth College Saturday, as
Mike Lynch,
Zach Hammond, and Eric Luisi each tallied their first-career goals to help the visitors earn a 4-2 victory. Fisher now has won back-to-back games for the first time this season.
With the win, Fisher improves to 4-8-1 overall and 2-2 in Empire 8, while Nazareth falls to 3-9, 1-3, respectively.
The visitors took a 3-0 lead in the break.
Mike Lynch picked an opportune time to score his first collegiate finding the back of the net in the 19
th minute to put the Cardinals in front 1-0.

Zach Hammond added to the Cardinals lead in the 28
th minute to double up Nazareth, 2-0.
The Cardinals were able to add to their lead late in the first half as Muhammed Miljkovic connected with Eric Luisi for his first career goal.
Nazareth was able to break its scoring drought in the 68
th minute with Ryan Folley sneaking a shot past
Josh Klein.
The Golden Flyers made it interesting making it a one goal game, 3-2, with 10 minutes left to play in the game. However, just 11 seconds later Nazareth surrendered an own goal to push Fisher's lead to 4-2 for the final tally of the game.
Klein finished with six stops in net for the Cardinals.
Fisher returns to action at 11 a.m. next Saturday when it will host Ithaca College in Empire 8 action.
