The St. John Fisher College women's tennis team picked up its first win of the season onTuesday, as the Cardinals defeated Empire 8 opponent Alfred University, 6-3.
Katie Pasier remained undefeated for the season winning 6-2, 6-0 in first singles and joined
Sania Zaki for an 8-6 win in first doubles. Freshman
Rosalie O'Brien and junior
Catie Nonenmacher won 6-0, 6-1 and 6-1, 6-0 respectively in their singles matches. The duo also teamed up in third doubles for an 8-6 win, their first as a doubles partners this season.

Abbey Buscaglia rounded out the Fisher scoring, winning in straight sets 6-3, 6-2 in third singles.
The Cardinals (1-2, 1-1 E8) return to action on Saturday when they will host Steven's at 10 a.m.
