BOX SCORE

The St. John Fisher College Cardinals gave up four second half goals en route to a 5-0 loss to the SUNY Oneonta Red Dragons, Sunday afternoon at Growney Stadium.

With the loss, the Cardinals are now 6-6, while Oneonta improves to 8-4.

Oneonta would strike early, scoring in the game's 16th minute when a loose ball found the stick of Oneonta's Tatum Knapp who slipped the ball by Fisher goalie, Danielle Famolaro to give the Red Dragons a 1-0 lead.

Fisher had several scoring opportunities in the first half of action, including six penalty corners, but the Cardinals could not break through.

The visitors put the game out of reach in the second half, scoring their second goal after an Oneonta player collected her own rebound and put in the back of the cage.  Moments later the Red Dragons added a third goal as they converted on their third consecutive penalty corner.

Oneonta added two more goals late in the second frame effectively ending any chance for a comeback.  The Red Dragons scored their fourth goal on a rebound and later converted on a penalty stroke that sailed just out of Famolaro's reach.

Elizabeth Cusack tallied a team-high four shots in the loss, while Marissa Vedella and Bailee Barrett each had three shots.  Famolaro recorded a season-high 13 saves for Fisher.

The Cardinals will return to conference play at 1 p.m. on Saturday as they travel to Stevens Institute of Technology.
