The St. John Fisher College field hockey team picked up its third win in a row with a 2-1 decision at Washington & Jefferson on Saturday. The Cardinals now improve to 4-5 on the year, while upping their conference record to 2-1. With each win, Fisher also builds on the College record for wins in a season, as it is just the second year the program has played. The Presidents fall to 3-3, 2-1 with the loss.

Kailen Maynard capitalizing on a scramble in front of the net. Off a pass from
Elizabeth Cusack, Maynard was able to push the ball in on the left side of the cage to give Fisher a 1-0 lead heading into the locker room.
Cusack added to that lead in the 67th minute when she scored unassisted to push Fisher's lead to two goals.
The home team added its only goal on the final play of the day, when it was awarded a penalty corner at the 70 minute mark. The Presidents scored, but it didn't matter as Fisher was able to pull away with the 2-1 win.
