Women's Tennis Falls to Hartwick

The St. John Fisher College women's team is still searching for its first win of the season, losing 6-3 to Empire 8 opponent Hartwick College on Sunday.  The Cardinals fall to 0-4 on the year and 0-3 in the conference, while Hartwick improves to 3-2 and remains undefeated (3-0) in conference play.

Kathryn Pasier and Jennifer Lehner were victorious for the Cardinals, as they won both their singles match-ups and their game as doubles partners.

Pasier, playing at first singles, defeated Megan Henson 3-1 in a shortened match.  At second singles, Lehner dropped just four games, with a 6-3, 6-1 decision over Nicole Schepisi.

The pair came together to take down the duo of Henson and Schepisi 8-6 in the closest contest of the day.

Fisher will continue in-conference play, next facing Utica College at 3:30 p.m. at the Mendon Racquet Club on Tuesday.
