The St. John Fisher College baseball team scored the game's final nine runs and
defeated visiting University of Rochester 9-4 on Wednesday afternoon at Fisher's Dugan Yard.
With the win, Fisher improves to 12-4 overall.
Sophomore pitcher
Justin D'Amato improves to 4-0 on the year. The reigning Empire 8 Pitcher of the Year gave up four unearned runs in the first inning, but was sold after that, finishing with six strikeouts and five hits over six innings.
Freshman pitcher
Thomas Dybas didn't allow a hit over the final three innings to earn the save.
Sean Osterman went 3-for-4 with three RBI and needed just a double for the cycle, while
Matt Klock went 4-for-4 with two runs and two RBI.
Ben Bostick drove in three runs, including a two-run single in the bottom of the second, tying the game up at 4s. He also tripled later in the game.
Chris Roeder picked up two hits and scored two runs, while
Steve Karnyski doubled twice and scored a run.
Nicholas Flemister tripled and scored the game's final run.
As a team, Fisher, who leads the nation in scoring, pounded out 16 hits.
Fisher will return to action with three games over the weekend against Utica College.
