PITTSFORD, N.Y. — St. John Fisher University baseball has been named a recipient of the 2025-26 ABCA Team Academic Excellence Award, presented by Sports Attack, the American Baseball Coaches Association announced last week.

The award recognizes ABCA member programs that posted a cumulative team GPA of 3.0 or higher on a 4.0 scale during the 2025-26 academic year.

Fisher is among more than 800 high school and college programs nationwide — including nearly 500 college programs — to receive the honor this year. To qualify, a program's head coach must be a current ABCA member, and the team must meet the minimum GPA threshold for the academic year.

The ABCA has recognized the achievements of baseball coaches and student-athletes since 1949, when it introduced the ABCA/Rawlings All-America Teams — the nation's oldest all-America honor. The organization's awards slate also includes the ABCA/Rawlings All-Region Awards, ABCA/ATEC Regional and National Coaches of the Year, the ABCA Hall of Fame, and the Dave Keilitz Ethics in Coaching Award.
