PITTSFORD, N.Y. — St. John Fisher University freshman right-hander Justin Christensen has been named to The Baseball Collegian's Division III Freshman All-American Team, the publication announced this week. The Baseball Collegian's Freshman All-America teams recognize the top first-year players across all three NCAA divisions.
Christensen turned in one of the finest pitching seasons in the country in 2026. He was one of just a handful of Division III arms to earn a spot on the honor squad, joining a group that included standouts from Middlebury, MIT, Amherst, Saint John's (Minn.) and other nationally ranked programs.
The Baseball Collegian nod is just the latest addition to an extensive postseason resume for Christensen, who has now been recognized on the conference, regional and national levels for his freshman campaign. He was named Empire 8 First Team All-Conference, ABCA All-Region III First Team, and D3Baseball.com All-Region III First Team, and he capped it off by being tabbed the D3Baseball.com Region III Rookie of the Year. Christensen also earned Fourth Team All-America honors from ABCA/Rawlings.
Christensen appeared in 12 games for the Cardinals, making 9 starts, and posted a 7-0 record with a 1.77 ERA across 45.2 innings pitched. He racked up 68 strikeouts while limiting opponents to a .160 batting average, numbers that made him one of the most dominant first-year arms in the country.
