The St. John Fisher College field hockey team took down Empire 8 rival Ithaca College by a 2-0 score on Friday.  With the win, Fisher improves to 3-2 in the Empire 8 Conference while holding a 5-7 overall record on the year.  The Bombers fall to 2-3 in the E8 and 6-6 overall.

Stacie Skidmore led the way for the Cardinals, scoring both goals in the game.  The sophomore netted one in each half with her first coming just 4:42 into the contest.  Skidmore took a shot from the outside that was initially saved, but she managed to track down her rebound and put it into the goal.

At 62:37 Marissa Vedella fed Skidmore on an odd-man break and she was able to double the Cardinal lead with a hard shot past Ithaca goalkeeper Kelly Singleton.

Danielle Famolaro picked up her fourth career shutout, making six save in the cage.  Elizabeth Cusack tallied two shots on net for the Cardinals.

Fisher will return to action at 12 p.m. on Sunday when it welcomes the Stevens Institute Ducks.
