Field Hockey Loses To Lakers

BOX SCORE

The St. John Fisher College field hockey team dropped a 2-1 decision on Saturday to visiting SUNY Oswego.  With the loss, Fisher falls to 6-11 overall.
The Lakers took the lead just over one minute into the game, but Fisher answered right back.  Sophomore Marissa Vedella sent classmate Stacie Skidmore on a break-away and found the back of the cage less than seven minutes into the game.

Oswego, however, regained the lead midway through the first half, with a one-timer off of a penatly corner for the game's final goal.

For Fisher, goalie Danielle Famolaro stopped eight shots.

The Cardinals will return to action at 5 p.m. on Tuesday at SUNY Morrisville.  They will then head to Hoboken, NJ for next weekend's Empire 8 Conference Championship.
