The St. John Fisher College men's soccer team
fell to 0-3 on the season with a 1-0 loss to The College at Brockport Wednesday night at home.
Golden Eagles forward Chris O'Gorman (Shoreham-Wading RIver/Wading River) scored in the 67th minute with a header on an empty net. Fisher keeper
Kyle Metcalfe was drawn out of the goal on a loose ball that came from Jeremy Cheeseman (St. Anthony's/Center Moriches) who earned an assist on the play.
The Cardinals made several attempts late in the game to knot the score, including a header attempt by
Stefan John which was punched out by the goalie, and a shot fired by senior
Tim Bach which was also stopped.
Metcalfe finished with six saves while Brockport keeper Kyle Sauln (Rush-Henrietta/Rochester) finished with two.
Fisher will return to action on Sunday when they host Scranton University at 4 p.m.
