The St. John Fisher College women's tennis team
dropped its first conference match on Sunday on the Fisher Courts to Stevens, 9-0. WIth the loss the Cardinals fall to 3-2 on the season with a 2-1 mark in the Empire 8.
Fisher put up a tough fight in second doubles as
Katie Pasier and Jenna Lehner finally sucumbed to the Ducks 8-5. Also adding into the effort for the Cardinals was first singles player
Elena Vahl. Vahl took her opponent to the wire in both sets, although she dropped the match 6-4, 6-3.
The Cardinals will return to action on Tuesday when they travel to face Roberts Wesleyan College at 4 p.m.
