The St. John Fisher College baseball team
suffered an 11-0 shutout on day one against Alvernia in a single game played in Reading, Pa.
With the loss, Fisher falls to 25-9 overall.
The Cardinals recorded seven hits from seven different players.
Justin D'Amato took the loss on the mound. The freshman scattered eight hits and retired as many batters in 5.1 innings pitched.
The Cardinals return to action, facing the Crusaders in a second nine-inning game tomorrow at 3 p.m.
