The St. John Fisher College baseball team improved to 13-5 overall
with a 6-5 win over University of Rochester on Thursday afternoon.
Fisher led 6-3 going into the top of the eighth, but Rochester pulled to within one run with the tying run on second and only one out. Pitcher
Tim Sylvester, however, escaped the jam and retired Rochester's No.2, No. 3 and cleanup hitters in order in the ninth to earn his first save of the season.

Teddy Ruff earned the win for Fisher. Ruff entered the game with Fisher up 4-3 in the top of the fifth and runners on second and third with no outs and managed to keep the Yellowjackets off the board.
Fisher's
Ross Langevin went 2-for-4 with two runs scored, while
Matt Klock picked up two hits and two RBI.
Leo Fusilli also drove in two runs.
Ben Bostick stole two bases, while
Steve Karnyski scored two runs.
Fisher will host Utica for four games this week.
