The St. John Fisher College
field hockey team earned its second win in program history with a 3-1 victory over SUNY Morrisville on Wednesday night at Growney Stadium. With the win Fisher improves to 2-14 on the season.
Taylor Parker started the scoring for the Cardinals when she finished on a deflection from
Caitlin Allen in the 22
nd minute. Parker would then go on to add her second goal of the game just five minutes later. The freshman scored off a
Marissa Vedella pass on what would end up being the game winning goal.
Allen would add an insurance goal for Fisher in the 64
th minute when she intercepted a Morrisville pass in the open field and scored on a breakaway.
Kellie Redmond was in net for the Cardinals and stopped four shots on her way to her second career victory.
Fisher will return to action at 7 p.m. on Friday when it hosts the Utica College Pioneers on Senior Day.
