Early Lead Doesn't Last For Field Hockey

The St. John Fisher College field hockey team dropped its second Empire 8 Conference game, losing 7-1 to visiting Washington & Jefferson on Saturday.

Fisher jumped out to an early lead as Caitlin Allen put in the lone goal by the far post off a Stacie Skidmore pass.
Washington & Jefferson scored six unanswered goals in the first half to take the 6-1 lead. The Presidents later notched their seventh goal in the second half for the win.

Fisher is now 1-8 on the season overall and 0-2 in conference play. The Cardinals will return to action at 4 p.m. on Wednesday as they travel to the College at Brockport.
