The St. John Fisher College Cardinals women's tennis team fell to host and powerhouse Stevens Institute of Technology in an 8-1 duel on Sunday afternoon in Hoboken, N.J.

Fisher's lone point came in an 8-5 win at third doubles.  Teammates Jordan Brungard and Katelyn Smith joined to improve to 4-1 in doubles in the 2010 season.

The Cardinals return to action Tuesday when they host the College at Brockport Golden Eagles at the Fisher Courts for a 4 p.m. match.
