SUNY Geneseo scored two goals in the opening 10 minutes and
picked up a 4-1 win over host St. John Fisher College on Wednesday night in the final home men's soccer game of the 2010 season.
Prior to the start of the game, the College recognized its nine seniors, who played their final game in Growney Stadium.
Two of the senior combined for Fisher's lone goal.
Michael Rooney tallied his first goal of the season off a pass from classmate
Andrew McIntosh.
Rooney's goal came in the 29th minute, cutting Fisher's deficit to 3-1.
Robert Weigand stopped four shots in the first half.
Kyle Metcalfe made one save and held the Knights scoreless for the final 35 minutes, while
Joel Prince didn't allow a goal and made two saves to finish out the game.
Fisher (2-12-2) will close out the season on Saturday at Alfred University.
