The St. John Fisher College women's tennis team (3-0) stood for nine straight wins,
defeating Elmira College (1-2) 9-0 Sunday afternoon.
The women started by sweeping the doubles competition.
Laura Hale and
Elena Vahl teamed up to tally an 8-1 win at first doubles, while
Katie Barlow and
Marissa Rotondo saw an 8-4 victory at second doubles. The third doubles pair of
Katelyn Smith and
Jordan Brungard battled to an 8-6 win at third doubles.
Fisher went on to cruise through the singles competition. The top three line-up of Hale, Vahl, and Barlow did not drop a game in their singles matches.
The win increases the Cardinals' win-streak to three.
Fisher is back in action Tuesday when they travel to Brockport in a non-conference match-up.
