Women's Tennis Blanks Elmira 9-0

Senior Katie Barlow recorded two wins in a 9-0 victory over Elmira College.
The St. John Fisher College women's tennis team (3-0) stood for nine straight wins, defeating Elmira College (1-2) 9-0 Sunday afternoon.

The women started by sweeping the doubles competition.  Laura Hale and Elena Vahl teamed up to tally an 8-1 win at first doubles, while Katie Barlow and Marissa Rotondo saw an 8-4 victory at second doubles.  The third doubles pair of Katelyn Smith and Jordan Brungard battled to an 8-6 win at third doubles.

Fisher went on to cruise through the singles competition.  The top three line-up of Hale, Vahl, and Barlow did not drop a game in their singles matches.

The win increases the Cardinals' win-streak to three.

Fisher is back in action Tuesday when they travel to Brockport in a non-conference match-up.
