In the nightcap, Fisher's
Phil Pettinella came through with a two-run single with the bases-loaded and one out, tying the game at 5-5. After freshman

Kevin Wing knocked in the game-winning run. With the bases-loaded, Wing hit a hard grounder to the shortstop, which forced out Klock at second base, but Wing easily beat the throw to first, allowing
John Quartironi to score the game-clinching run.
Junior pitcher
Andrew Van Slyke pitched all seven innings to earn the win, raising his record to 4-1 on the year.
In the first game, freshman
Steve Karnyski went 5-for-5 with four RBI and three runs scored to lead the Cardinals, who scored at least one run in all six innings.
Teagen Barresi,
Jon Gibbs, Klock and Wing each finished with two hits in the win, while
Jason Nevada drove in three runs.
Dan Jurik pitched 5.1 scoreless innings to improve to 3-0 on the year.
Fisher (13-6 overall, 4-2 Empire 8) will return to action on Tuesday and will host University of Rochester.
