The St. John Fisher College baseball team scored six runs in the fourth inning
and picked up a 10-7 win over New Jersey City University on Wednesday. The Cardinals, who have scored at least eight runs in each game this year, led 10-1 after five innings, but needed a solid performance from pitcher Andy Van Slyke to preserve the win.
Jon Gibbs went 4-for-5 with three RBI and two runs scored to lead the Cardinals (2-3).
Phil Pettinella added three hits and two runs scored. Freshman pitcher
Jeremy Willard allowed four runs on nine hits over seven innings to earn his first career win.
