The St. John Fisher College baseball team pounded out 16 hits and scored eight runs, but it wasn't enough, as Bethany Lutheran defeated the Cardinals 9-8 on Tuesday in Winter Haven, Fla.  The loss is the second consecutive one-run game that Fisher (1-3) has lost.

Kevin Wing went 4-for-5 at the plate, while Phil Pettinella finished 3-for-4 with a triple and a double.

Leo Fusilli and Teagen Barresi each homered for the Cardinals, who will return to action at 1:30 p.m. on Wednesday.
