Men’s Soccer Picks Up Two Second Half Goals for a 2-1 Win Over Ithaca

Goalkeeper Adam Durst held the Bombers to one goal, tallying five saves in the win.
The St. John Fisher College men's soccer team (6-5-1, 2-2-0 E8) scored two second half goals to earn a 2-1 conference victory over the Ithaca Bombers (4-4-3, 1-2-1 E8) at Carp Wood Field Saturday afternoon.

Fisher failed to get on the board in the first half, but was saved in the second half when Mike Redmond grabbed a cross from Luke Lennox on the left side, firing a shot into the upper left corner of the net to tie the game 62 minutes into play.

Just over two minutes later, David Garabedian collected a loose ball 16 yards out to pick up his first goal of the season and the game-winner in today's contest.

Adam Durst tallied fives saves, holding the Bombers to just one goal despite their 14-11 shot advantage.

Fisher returns to action a week from today, when they host East Avenue rival Nazareth Saturday at 12 p.m. at Growney Stadium.
