The St. John Fisher College women's tennis team improved to 2-2 on the year and 1-2 in the Empire 8 Conference, as the Cardinals defeated visiting Elmira College 8-1 on Saturday.
Fisher won all sixth single matches and earned victories at first and second doubles.
Laura Hale won 6-1, 6-0 at first singles and joined Katie Barlow for an 8-3 win at first doubles. Barlow also won 6-1, 2-6, 10-2 at second singles.
Lauren Jones and Katie Neubeck won 8-4 at second doubles and each earned a point with wins at third and fourth singles, respectively.
Katie Catalano won 6-1, 6-2 at fifth singles, while Jessica Mayo won 6-1, 6-2 at sixth singles.
Fisher will return to action on Friday and will host SUNY Brockport.
