Men's Soccer Wins 1-0 Over SUNY Oswego

Luke Lennox recorded a unique assist in Sunday's 1-0 win over SUNY Oswego.

The St. John Fisher College men's soccer team recorded its first victory of the season on Sunday with a 1-0 win over SUNY Oswego in the Flower City Invitational hosted by University of Rochester.

Standout junior Luke Lennox was credited with an assist on the game's only goal, as he was the last offensive player to touch the ball before it went into the net.  Lennox crossed the ball past the Oswego goalkeeper from the right wing, and an Oswego defender tried to clear it from in front of the net, but inadvertently knocked the ball into his own goal.

Fisher goalie Adam Durst made two saves en route to the victory.

The Cardinals (1-1) will return to action at 4 p.m. on Tuesday to take on host SUNY Brockport.
