Women's Soccer Rallies for OT Win in Utica

Head coach Jill McCabe pointed the Cardinals to a 3-2 overtime win in Utica on Saturday.
The St. John Fisher College women's soccer team improved to 3-8-1 overall, 1-3 in the Empire 8 with a 3-2 overtime win over host Utica College on Saturday.

Kelly Zeppetella broke the 2-2 tie in the 96th minute of the game with her second goal of the game.

In the 17th minute, Zeppetella got the Cardinals on the board when she glanced a shot off of the Utica keeper, who charged to cut down Zeppetella's angle.

The Pioneers evened the score early in the second half (48th minute), and took a 2-1 lead in the 58th minute before the Cardinals pulled even.

Freshman forward Alyssa Golding got Fisher back into the contest in the 65th minute when she settled a pass at the top of the 18-yard box and blasted a shot into the left side of the net.

Fisher will return to action on Sunday at 1 p.m. to host Hartwick College.
