Ella Eckert (East Amherst, N.Y./Clarence) of the nationally-ranked St. John Fisher College women's basketball squad has been named the College's Female Athlete of the Week for action taking place during the week that ended November 24, 2019.

Eckert averaged a double-double last week as the No. 15 Cardinals went 1-1 overall after defeating the University of Rochester as part of the fourth annual Mark's Pizzeria Crosstown Shootout.

Eckert posted 12.5 points, 10.0 rebounds and averaged one steal per game while shooting 10-of-20 from the floor.  The East Amherst native was a force on the offensive glass as she pulled down seven boards over the two-game stretch.

Against Rochester, Eckert finished with a team-high 18 points and 13 rebounds before adding seven points and seven boards against the Tigers.
