St. John Fisher University Athletics

Leah Koonmen (Fairport/Our Lady of Mercy) of the St. John Fisher College women’s basketball team has been named the College’s Female Athlete of the Week after the Cardinal’s took home a pair of Empire 8 victories this past weekend. 
 
Versus Elmira, Koonmen notched a team-high 11 points on 3-6 shooting from the field and 3-4 from the free throw line, while also finishing with two rebounds and one assist.
 
On Saturday, the freshman pitched in five points, five rebounds, one assist, and one steal in the Fisher victory over Alfred 
 
The Cardinals return to action on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. when they travel to Houghton for their regular season finale.
