Nicole Robinson (Lawrence/Lawrence) of the St. John Fisher College women's basketball team has been named the College’s Female Athlete of the Week as the senior helped the Cardinals clinch a berth in the Empire 8 Championship with wins over Stevens and Hartwick during the week which ended February 4, 2018. The two victories extended the team's winning streak to nine games overall.
In two starts, Robinson averaged 14.5 points, 7.5 rebounds, 5.5 blocked shots, 3.0 assists and 1.5 steals while shooting 12-of-21 from the field overall.
Against the Ducks, the Lawrence native finished with her second double-double of the year with 20 points, 10 boards and five blocks before adding nine points, five rebounds, five assists and six blocks in a win over Hartwick on Saturday.
Robinson and the rest of the women’s basketball team will put their winning streak on the line at 8 p.m. on Tuesday when they travel to Alfred to battle the Saxons in an Empire 8 clash.
